Motor Vehicle Accident – Personal Injury Attorney

This is a great opportunity for high earnings with high productivity.  Compensation is a combo of base and incentive that can exceed $150,000 per year.

We are currently looking for a talented and passionate Car Accident – Personal Injury Attorney to join our team. You must be licensed in Arizona to practice law.  The candidate will assist in the day-to-day handling of motor vehicle accident and personal injury cases.  Must have excellent client service skills and communication while demonstrating the ability to act as a self-starter, driven by long-term career goals needed. Superior writing and oral advocacy skills are required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years personal injury – auto accident legal experience
  • Ability to manage a high volume of litigation cases is required
  • Must be an active, licensed member in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona
  • High level of experience drafting and filing litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions, and memorandums
  • Ability to successfully guide clients through the case process, preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings and court appearances
  • Interaction with expert witnesses, including conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavits
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong problem-solving skills
  • Experience with attorney online case management software such as Clio, Amicus Attorney or Mycase
  • Current Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 products and editing/creating Adobe PDF documents

    Pay: $75,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year

        Medical Malpractice/Personal Injury Paralegal

        We are currently looking for a talented and passionate Medical Malpractice-Personal Injury Paralegal to join our team.

        Job Responsibilities:

        • Document management and analysis for cases.
        • Medical record summaries and chronologies.
        • Procurement of medical records/HIPAA compliance.
        • Preparation and service of subpoenas and other discovery requests.
        • Preparation of pleadings and discovery responses.
        • Preparation of routine status reports to clients and counsel and electronic filings with Court.
        • Manage files, documents, and evidence, including all pre-trial discovery and deadlines.
        • Acting as scheduling liaison to for scheduling and contact expert witnesses.
        • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and expert witnesses, when necessary.
        • Draft correspondence and pleadings; obtain, organize, and maintain all relevant medical records.
        • Assist with trial preparation, trial exhibits and at times, attend trials.

        Minimum Qualifications

        • 4 years of Medical Malpractice-Personal Injury Paralegal experience working for a law firm. (Recent experience)
        • Experience with heavy case management, primarily medical malpractice, personal injury and nursing home cases.
        • Must be clearly familiar with Paralegal role including drafting disclosures and drafting discovery requests and responses.
        • The personality and ability to successfully communicate with experts, clients and associates.
        • Current Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word) and editing/creating Adobe PDF documents.
        • Experience with attorney case management software such as Clio, Amicus Attorney, Mycase or Practice Panther.
        • Exceptional attention to detail, calendars, case tasks, case calendars and various case due dates.
        • Professional demeanor, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a large caseload in a fast-paced environment.
        • Able to lead cases/projects to completion with minimum input or direction.
        • This is a full-time position and is an in office position. Work occasionally requires more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.

        Transactional Paralegal

        The Transactional Paralegal is responsible for a full range of estate planning matters by providing assistance to the Firm’s attorneys and senior paralegals in administering estates, funding revocable and irrevocable trusts, preparing wills, power of attorney documents, and client case management.

        Job Responsibilities:

        • Probate administration, including drafting of probate pleadings, research and administering Probate
        • Managing a variety of Probate Division cases, including probate cases, trust petitions, and occasional guardianship and conservatorship matters, from start to finish
        • Create, research and administer Trust documentation
        • Will drafting and asset management
        • Drafting and administering Fee Agreements
        • Conflict checking, Invoicing and Client Intakes
        • Create, print and assemble binders for Estate and Will planning
        • Schedule and attend signing meetings
        • Draft and send intake and closing letters
        • Provide assistance with distribution of estate assets
        • Preparation of gift and estate tax returns
        • Handling post-mortem administration issues, including required notices, real estate filings, etc
        • Maintain close personal contact with clients and financial advisors
        • Drafting and editing of preliminary estate planning documents (Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, etc.)
        • Manage case files for estate planning and estate administration matters, including managing workflow, deadlines, calendaring cases and advisement to attorneys of upcoming deadlines, etc
        • Preparation of Deeds and asset titling/beneficiary designation documents
        • Conduct legal research, compile and organize case data and information
        • Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, fiduciaries, and advisors (i.e. financial advisors, CPA, trust officers) in a professional and timely manner
        • Other duties may be added based on candidate experience and firm needs

        Qualifications

        • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate (strongly preferred)
        • At least 4 years of experience with general Trusts and Estates/Probate work, preferably at a law firm
        • Knowledge and experience in at least two (2) of the following areas: Probate and Estate Administration; Estate Planning Document drafting (Wills, Trust, Powers of Attorney); Trust funding; Trust Administration; Deed preparation; Tax Return Preparation (Estate, Gift and/or Fiduciary Income Tax Returns)
        • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat
        • Comfortable with technology – experience with a cloud-based firm management system, and document drafting systems preferred
        • High ethical standard with a strong understanding of client and firm confidentiality

        Preferred Qualifications

        • Wealth Counsel experience
        • A willingness to expand responsibilities as needed as well as fluently communicate with remote personnel
        • A sense of humor and a passion for technology and innovation
        • Desire and aptitude to learn new concepts, programs, and software on the job
        • Current Arizona Notary
