Medical Malpractice Attorney

 This is a full-time position.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years of legal experience
  • Capability and experience to work independently and with a team
  • Licensed in Arizona and in good standing
  • Excellent academic credentials and outstanding references
  • Experience with litigation case management, primarily medical malpractice and nursing home cases
  • Excellent strategy and strong problem-solving skills
  • Current Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and editing/creating Adobe PDF documents
  • Experience with attorney case management software such as Clio, Amicus Attorney, Mycase or PracticePanther
  • Strongly prefer healthcare related experience as well as courtroom trial experience

 Responsibilities

  • Handling a large caseload involving medical malpractice cases
  • Conducting depositions, preparing pleadings, handling motions and attending court conferences
  • The personality and ability to successfully communicate with experts, clients and associates
  • Ambitious attorney that wants to not only provide their clients with the best possible representation, but also desires to grow in a full-service firm
  • Significant deposition experience in medical malpractice cases including deposing expert witnesses
  • Excellent research, writing and analytical skills
  • Desire to thrive in a high-paced environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills, handling client matters, and adhering to strict deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000 per year (salary, bonus and incentives)

Civil Litigation Attorney

We are currently looking for a talented and experienced Civil Litigation Attorney in the field of employment law, business and real estate matters.  You must be licensed in Arizona to practice law.

  • Experience with litigation case management and litigation role including drafting disclosures, discovery requests and responses
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong problem-solving skills
  • The personality and ability to successfully communicate with experts, clients and associates
  • Current Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and editing/creating Adobe PDF documents
  • Experience with attorney case management software such as Clio, Amicus Attorney, Mycase or PracticePanther

Responsibilities

  • Research, writing and case organization
  • Proficient in all aspects of litigation such as pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, depositions, witnesses and evidence (identify, prepare, and present), analysis, hearings, arbitrations, mediations, persuasion, interrogation, negotiation, strategic planning, and jury trial preparation
  • Partner with other attorneys on depositions, mediations, arbitrations and trial work.

Litigation Assistant/Paralegal

We are currently looking for a talented and passionate Litigation Assistant/Paralegal to join our team. This position is located IN ARIZONA and you must be a local resident to be considered. The salary range for this position is between $60,000-$75,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the management of litigation including preparing hold notices, researching and analyzing claims, gathering documents and reviewing pleadings and discovery responses.
  • Assist with all aspects of litigation, including responding to discovery, trial preparation, and settlements.
  • Work on complex assignments requiring advanced problem-solving skills.
  • Prepare metrics, reports and presentations for internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain and manage information relating to litigation and other matters handled by Bailey Law’s Litigation team and use that information to drive better processes and efficiencies.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience with litigation case management, primarily medical malpractice and nursing home cases
  • Familiar with a litigation role including drafting disclosures, drafting discovery requests and responses
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong problem solving skills
  • The personality and ability to successfully communicate with experts, clients and associates
  • Current Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word) and editing/creating Adobe PDF documents
  • Experience with attorney case management software such as Clio, Amicus Attorney, MyCase or PracticePanther

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree and/or Paralegal certificate
  • Creativity, attention to detail, commitment to customer service, and excellent communication and writing skills
  • Experience in project management, eager to streamline work functions, have an in-depth understanding of the litigation process and possess the ability to adapt to current and future responsibilities
  • Able to pursue litigation cases/projects to completion with minimum input or direction
  • Work effectively on a variety of simultaneously active litigation matters.
  • A willingness to expand responsibilities as needed as well as fluently communicate with remote personnel
  • A sense of humor and a passion for technology and innovation
  • Desire and aptitude to learn new concepts, programs, and software on the job
